Acrobat crashes after sending pdf as email attachment

Android app, Adobe acrobat version 24.9.4.35580

After editing pdf by drawing a signature, it is sent as an email attachment through gmail

The pdf is emailed successfully but when returning to the document, the screen has a grey translucent overlay which renders all operations worthless. I am unable to continue working on the document. If I press the back key, the document closes and I lose all data I entered and have to start again.
