Well, the year is 2024, and this is still not an implemented feature... unfortunate.

@Losh31876304pogr Thank you for writing in!

There are differences in the experience on desktop and mobile due to limitations of the architecture of both platforms.

Though this feature is in development, it might take time to implement it completely.

Is this feature still in development? I have found threads dated back to 2017 requesting this.

Is this possible yet in 2023? Thank you.

Hi @samanthac46634101,

Thank you for writing in!

The mobile apps for Acrobat Reader Mobile are almost at par with the functionality of the desktop version but not at the same level.

The function mentioned above is yet to be implemented in the mobile version of the application.

Hope this clarifies your question.

That is honestly just silly. So many people these days use an iPad for their main computer and you guys still haven't added it? Totally not your fault, I know you do not have control over what the developers do-but please pass along that it is a needed feature and not allowing it for the 'mobile version' when people have been asking for it for 4 years is unacceptable!

Still nothing in 2022 either? I am sure by this time someone has definitely put a feature request.

Hello,

Hope you are doing well.

You can put in the feature request for the product team to look into and implement in the future updates:

Share your feedback on Acrobat DC (uservoice.com)

Thanks,

Souvik.

Hi there,

Sorry for the delay in response.

The mobile application has some limitations. It does not work in a similar way as the desktop application do.

Adding and viewing PDF layers is not possible in the mobile application.

You may share this as a suggestion to the team using the feature request form https://www.adobe.com/products/wishform.html

Hope that answers your question.

Let us know if you need any help.

Regards,

Meenakshi
