Question

Adobe Acrobat crashes when I use “fill and sign” in a tillable pdf, ipad

I have updated my iPad and that actually made this worse. I can fill the pdf, usually, but when I try to sign using the "fill and sign" option, it sometimes crashes, erasing all data on the pdf if I have not saved a copy. Sometimes it does not crash. Sometimes it crashed while I'm filling another part of the pdf. I did nto create the pdf...it was downloaded from my employer. Acrobat version 22.l08.00, IPad Pro, IOS 15.6.1

Hello @Heather24519618k1vx

I hope you're doing good.

As per the discussion above, I understand that your Acrobat Reader mobile application is crashing while using the fill and sign tool.

Could you please help me with a few details to understand your issue better: -

1. Are you experiencing this issue while using just this file or with other pdf's as well?

2. Is this issue happening only on iPad or desktop application (Acrobat Reader DC) too?

To check please sign in to Acrobat Reader DC desktop apllication from this link and check if you're able to edit the file :

https://acrobat.adobe.com/link/home/

Hoping to hear from you soon.

Regards,

Krutikka

To answer your questions: I am experiencing this with only the one fillable
pdf file so far. I have only used the same fillable pdf file on the desktop
a few times just now but it did not crash. Thanks,

Hi @Heather24519618k1vx,

I hope you are doing well. Sorry for the trouble with filling out forms.

Since the PDF was received from a different source, it could be with how the PDF or form was created.

Would you mind sharing the form with me over private messages so I can try to reproduce the issue on my end?

[To share the file, you can click on my profile name-> on the next page, click on the blue button saying Send a Message]

Thanks,

Souvik.
