Adobe Acrobat Mobile Printing Issue

Hello All,

I have sevral Acrobat PDF files saved to my phone that I print daily. All print as they should with no issues, except one file that after a random amount of time will not. It could be as short as two days, two weeks, a month, or two months; after a period of time the file will print not only smaller than it should but also exclude a part of the file when printed (a small image within the PDF). The only solution I've come up with is deleting and completely recreating the file however, this is always a temporary "fix" and doesn't always work. Let alone is a massive waste of time. In the past some of the other PDFs have done this and after endless phone calls with Adobe support, searching online and calling tutors I've yet to find the cause and permanant solution.

Again all the PDFs are made the same and printed from the phone only (computer not an option due to job requirements), at one point other files have had this same issue but this particular file ALWAYS has. The only differnce in this file versus the others is it has a dropdown list. Nothing in the drop downdown list comes close to exceeding the size of the dropdown box to try an avoid this exact issue I'm having. Once again though other files have done this as well.

Just now I printed 15 pages of this exact file 5 of which shrank and excluded the image, once printed. There is no way of telling when it'll happen but when it does it does not stop and will eventually do it each time you print with that file. From any printer or any phone, fully updated drivers and phone. It is simply the file when printing from the phone. Printing from the computer is unfortunaely not an option and keep in mind there are sevral other near identical files that do not have this issue.

Please advise

Can you tell us the exact steps you use to create the PDFs?

And can you confirm that you are using Adobe Acrobat Reader and not the PDF reader that comes with your phone or another PDF reader from the App Store or Google Play?

We also need software versions and OS info.

One other random thought: for testing purposes, can you put that field into another document to see if it causes an issue? Assuming you have access to Acrobat DC for desktop when you are not in the field, you can go into form editing and copy the field, then paste it into a new document (also in form edit mode.)

@GoneFishing98 Hi,

Adding to what Jane said, can you share the file with us to try and reproduce the issue at our end?

If this is an issue with a specific file, we would need to check the details on how the file was created.

Also, an image of how the final print comes out would be great to help understand the exact situation happening.

Thanks,

Souvik.
