Adobe Acrobat Reader for android using a non-gmail account?

I would like to purchase a subscription for the mobile "Adobe Acrobat Reader" and scanner Apps but I do not want them intrinsicly linked to my Android device's gmail account.

Is this possble, and if so, do I need to remove the "Free User" Adobe Acrobat Reader app I have installed on my device from Google Play?

You posted to the orphaned forum for Acrobat Reader for Mobile (beta), but it sounds like you are not part of the beta program. Please confirm and we will move your post to the proper forum.
