I download a file that is an Adobe pdf. Where does it go? I can not find it?

Could you check in your downloads or in some local folder? 

Also, where did you download it from, it is from a mail or from a website?

On my computer it is easy to find in my files. I have the problem of locating downloads on my android phone. It says downloading file, but I don't know where it is downloading to, and when I look in downloads I cannot locate it anywhere. The original pdf is from a class on a facebook site.Lost in cyberland.
