Question

Adobe iOS, iPadOS app not allowing image inserts in forms!

I have a problem with a form that has been created with Adobe Acrobat DC.
from my understanding this problem has been going on for a long time but does need to be rectified!

when trying to add a photo in an image field on either the iOS app or the iPadOSS app you're unable to do so.

it doesn't do anything.

now considering this form has been made with Adobe on a macOS but can't be used on Adobe iOS or iPadOS Acrobat works with any other PDF Viewer or editor on iOS or iPadOS..

can you please get this issue sorted as I gather it's been going on for some years now!

Acrobat Reader for mobile devices doesn't support this.

May I ask what would be the point in being able to make a form that can do this on a desktop computer then? It wouldn't be practical to pick up my MacBook to take a snapshot of an image that I wanted to insert into the form?

if this indeed this is the case, Adobe are illogical!

Hi there

Our engineering team is looking into this issue. However, in the meantime, you may try to switch the zoom and toggle back as described below:

1. Change to large > done.
2. Then again from large > default > done.

Let us know if that works for you.

Thank you for your msg. I pdf was made with Acrobatic DC for mac. Th image insert does not wok when using Acrabt for IOS, or IPadOS.

I am very surprised you have not heard of the problem as it has been reported the same for around 4 years now!

if I use any other pdf reader / app for iOS/ipad it works, but just not in adobe version..

so you can make the pdf in Acrobatic DC for mac, but it wont work in Adobe IOS/ipados... seems rather stupid do you not think?

I am as always using the current version across all platforms... I have added the file... try it for yourself...!

Good morning,

No this issue has not been resolved. And i am not surprised as it has been reported for the past 4 years.

It has not been resolved like all the other problems with adobe for iOS/ipados.

I have added the file so you can try and see for yourself!

nothing to you Amal, but Adobe is a joke!

Hi there

Hope you are doing well and thanks for reaching out and sharing your concern.

Is this an issue with a particular PDF form or with all the PDF form? Please try with a different file and check.

What is the version of the Acrobat mobile app and the iOS and iPadOS versions you are using? To check the version of the app, tap on the profile icon > About Adobe Acrobat https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/mobile-app-faq.html

Also, check for any pending/missing updates for the Acrobat App from the Play store and iOS/iPadOS and try updating them and reboot the device and see if that works.

Let us know how it goes.
