AI assistant not working on my acrobat reader (windows 10)

Hello community,

I have purchased today an annual plan to use AI assistant.
When I am trying to use AI assistant in a pdf opened with my acrobat reader on my hp pavilion laptop
(windows 10) I keep being told to purchase a plan even though I have already done that!
Of course I am logged in my profile but doesn't make any difference.

The AI Assistant is working only if I go to this link
https://acrobat.adobe.com/link/

What is the point of saving time and using AI assistant if I have to go online and upload documents
in order to use it? I must be doing something wrong!
Can you help please?

thank you
Ana

@Birthing Light I can absolutely hear the frustration and disappointment in your message—It's incredibly disheartening when your desktop application, where you need it most, isn't recognizing the subscription you've clearly activated. This kind of problem often points to a hiccup in how your installed Acrobat Reader on your laptop is communicating with Adobe's licensing servers to confirm that specific AI Assistant add-on, even though your online account sees it perfectly.

To resolve this, you need to ensure that your desktop Acrobat Reader truly "sees" and activates your newly purchased AI Assistant license. We'll start by giving your login credentials a complete refresh to clear any old or corrupted session data. This involves signing out of Acrobat Reader, then performing a full restart of your laptop, and finally signing back into Acrobat Reader with the exact Adobe ID you used for the purchase. This "clean slate" approach often helps the application properly re-authenticate and recognize all your active plans. If that doesn't immediately work, we can also explore a repair of your Acrobat Reader installation, or clearing its local licensing cache, to iron out any minor technical snags that might be preventing the AI Assistant from activating on your computer. The goal is to get that desktop functionality working seamlessly so you can enjoy the time-saving benefits you paid for.
