hello all,

I just got my new Samsung S23 Ultra and after I take a screenshot and then go to the bottom left corner to press the taken picture to be opened, it opens in Adobe Reader as a pdf. How can I change this path so it opens in Google Photos? Thank you!

Hello! It sounds like the default app for opening screenshots on your Samsung S23 Ultra has been set to Adobe Reader instead of Google Photos. You can change this setting by following these steps:

  1. Open the Settings app on your Samsung S23 Ultra.
  2. Scroll down and select "Apps."
  3. Find Adobe Reader in the list of apps and select it.
  4. Tap "Open by default."
  5. Select "Clear defaults."

Now, the next time you take a screenshot and try to open it, you should be prompted to select which app to use to open it. Choose Google Photos and select "Always" if you want Google Photos to be the default app for opening screenshots going forward.

I hope this helps, Let me know if you have any further questions.

  2. Scroll down and select "Apps".
  3. Tap the three-dot menu in the top-right corner of the screen and select "Default apps".
  4. Select "Opening links".
  5. Scroll down and select "Screenshot".
  6. Tap "Open supported links" and choose "Go to supported URLs".
  7. Select "Google Photos" from the list of available apps.
  8. For more information, you might have a look at where you mind find an answer to your question https://www.samsunger.com/2023/04/how-to-take-a-screenshot-on-samsung.html

After following these steps, your Samsung S23 Ultra should open screenshots with Google Photos by default when you tap on them. If you have any further questions, feel free to ask!

Hi @Lado28979165psea,

Hope you are doing well. From the description, I understand that you want to change the default application for opening images.

You might want to try the steps mentioned in the article to change the application from Acrobat Reader to Google Photos: Set or clear default apps - Pixel Phone Help (google.com)

Hope this helps.
