    Hi @brilliant_uniquenesse968 ,

Hope you are doing well, and thanks for reaching out. We are sorry for the trouble you are experiencing.

A couple of quick questions so we can narrow this down:

    • Are you on Android or iPhone, and what version of the Acrobat Reader app do you have?

    • Does this happen with every PDF you try, or just one specific file?

    • Are you connected to Wi-Fi or mobile data when you try it, and is your Adobe account a free or Premium one?

While you check those, here's what usually causes this: Acrobat's Read Aloud can use either "premium" online voices or the offline voices built into your phone. If your device loses its connection, playback switches to the offline system voices, then returns to premium voices once you're reconnected, so a weak or unstable connection can cause it to spin and never actually start. A couple of things to try:

    1. Open the PDF, tap the voice/settings icon next to Read Aloud, and switch to an offline/system voice to see if it plays right away. If it does, the issue is with the online voice connection, not the app itself.

    2. Close the app fully and reopen it, or restart your phone, then try again.

    3. Make sure Acrobat Reader is updated to the latest version from the Play Store or App Store.

    4. Try a different PDF; if only one file is affected, the document itself (like a scanned image with no real text) may be the problem rather than the app.

Let us know your answers to the questions above, and whether the offline voice works, that'll help point to the right fix.
