Hello jeffc,

Thank you for reporting the lost comments issue to us. We just released a new version (19.01.01) to the App Store and have fixed a number of issues that could be causing lost comments. Please install it and let us know if your problems have been resolved.

However, if not, in order to help us further investigate, it would be amazing if you could answer any or all of the following questions:

  1. How long had you been commenting before you experienced data loss (in hours)?
  2. How did you leave the Acrobat App or PDF when you experienced data loss (switching to another app, putting phone to sleep, etc.)?
  3. Is the PDF you were commenting a cloud file (Google Drive, Document Cloud, Dropbox)? If so, which cloud service?
  4. Did the app crash or display an error message?

Thank you again,

Anna

Hi Jeffc,

Sorry for the delay in response.

Thank you for reporting this.

Could you please provide the details asked below:

- The current version of the Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your iPad Pro.

- What is the OS version on your device?

- Did you check if this behavior occurs only when you use the Apple pencil for annotation?

- Is it possible for you to share the screenshot of the annotations that you add with the Apple pencil on the PDF?

To share the screenshot, use the steps provided below:

- Click on the insert icon provided in the reply window as shown below:

- An Insert Image window will appear.

- Then click on Insert Image and browse the location where you have saved the screenshot file.

- Select the file and click on Open > Insert Image.

Let us know if you have any questions.

We will be waiting for your response.

Regards,

Meenakshi
