AR freezes on iPad after new up-date

I have an iPad Mini which updated ACrobat Reader to version 18.09.13. I launched it and the app gets stuck on the Home page. I tried to press any icon, button, etc and nothing happens. AR is completely frozen except for a spinning blue circle and then the app crashes after about 3 to 4 minutes.  I can't access the files at all. I restarted the iPad a couple of times but that had no effect,

We just released Acrobat Reader 18.09.14 to the App Store.

This release addresses the freeze/hang issue at launch reported by users.

Please let us know if you continue to experience issues after updating.

Is anything being done to fix this situation?????

I have launched the app on my iPad about a hundred times and it still crashes after 3 - 4 minutes.  I cannot access my local files. Have I lost them all?

Mine did this too, but it's working now.   Unfortunately, all of the folders I created are gone.  [Edited to add; they are there but a pain to get to.]
