When you open or view PDFs on your iPhone using the free Adobe Acrobat Reader mobile app and you’re signed in with your Adobe ID, any file you explicitly save or move into the app’s Document Cloud folder will be uploaded to Adobe’s servers. Otherwise, PDFs you open only “live” locally on your device or in whichever iOS storage location you chose (for example, iCloud Drive, Dropbox, Google Drive, etc.).
