Question

Bad Experience Converting Google Doc

Recently I attempted to convert a Google Doc from within my Google Drive to PDF.  The Google Doc command opened the Acrobat App on my iPhone.  The app suggested the Liquid view which a.) did not convert all the pages and b.) modified the formatting.

I decided to delete the unsatisfactory PDF result and start over.   Unfortunately this action permanently deleted both the PDF AND the source Google Doc on my Google Drive.   I have contacted Google Support to hopefully restore the original Google Document...hopefully they will.

In the mean time is there a way to limit the delete request to only PDF files on the Google Drive?  I didn't image that Acrobat would be this intrusive and claim other file types when choosing delete.  Thanks.

Hello,

I hope you are doing well. I am sorry for your experience with Acrobat Reader Mobile.

Liquid mode is a feature that does not change the make of the PDF but just changes it for better viewing. You can disable it anytime by clicking on the water droplet icon on the top right of the menu bar and it will be disabled.

Since there was no copy of the file and you chose to delete it, the file got deleted from the original source.

Hope this answers your query.

Thanks,

Souvik.
