This has happened a couple times before, all from the same company, but I get a pdf emailed to me and I save it to acrobat it shows a picture of the pdf (the way it's supposed to look) just to the left of the name. When I click on it to open it's just blank lines.

Without a sample PDF file to examine, there is absolutely no way that anyone here can ascertain what is going on. It would also help to provide us with information as to exactly what version of Acrobat Reader Mobile you are using and on what platform (iOS or Android).
