Can not open document to send as an acrobat file

Sorry to hear that. Could you please elaborate on some points for my better understanding?

1. Which application you are using for scanning and opening PDF files?

2. Which OS you are using, are you using a mobile application or desktop application?

3. If you are using Adobe Scan, please tell me the version of it.

 Open the app and log in. 
 Tap home to dismiss the capture screen.
Tap settings reside under Preferences and About Adobe Scan.

To share your scans as attachments, you can simply choose the option share as a copy instead of email.

You can share file copies:

From the Recent tab:

Tap share. 

Tap share a copy. 

Choose one of the ways to share a copy, and complete the workflow.
