Can't highlight PDF file on android

title says it all. i've been reading some of answers from the community but it seems like my pdf file is not a converted scanned image whatsoever because i'm able to highlight text on my pc but not on my android pie running latest acrobat reader. please help. thanks.

Would you please give more information about, what happens when you use highlighter to highlight the text on Android devise? Does it freezes or not responding?
