Can’t open a file

Hi all. I'm having trouble opening an Adobe shared file on my IPad. It's telling me I need to upgrade to the Adobe that's compatible with Apple. I cannot find an APP. Please help.

    What file can't you open?

     

    Acrobat is the product, Adobe is the company. Acrobat can be downloaded from the app store.

    It's a shared Adobe document. I downloaded Adobe Acrobat Reader for my IPad.It's telling me I need the App that is compatible with Mac.
