Question

Can't open embedded file attachment on iPhone

I see the file in attachment and when I click on the file the screen turns blank. No further action, no  suggestion on app to open the file. The exact same PDF works perfectly well on an Android device.

I think I know what the problem is. I made a new pdf-file with three different attachments embedded; a pdf file (.pdf), a word document (.doc) and a GPS file (.gpx). The pdf and doc file is extracted from the original pdf without any problem but the .gpx file is not. No error message and no suggestion of programs to open it, just a blank screen. I have map/navigation apps installed on the iPhone that easily reads a gpx file. So the gpx file is of  XML-format but a general standard for GPS-files, why is it blocked? When I send an e-mail with the same gpx file it is extracted and opened in the map/navigation app.
