Question

Can't open some hyperlinks in Chrome or Safari on IOS devices

I have seen this previously but never came across a solution.

https://www.harnessracingupdate.com/pdf/hru/hru092924.pdf

It doesn't matter if I open this PDF in Safari or Chrome the links on page 25 (Kountry) and page 66 (Sensational) don't seem to register as links on iOS devices.

There is nothing malformed about the URLs, no leading or trailing spaces, no non-standard characters.

The links work with no problem on Windows, Mac & Android devices, just not on iOS.

The post is missing some workflow context.

The PDF is a publication that is accessible on the company main website (big green download the current edition button at the top):

https://harnessracingupdate.com/

When the link is selected, the PDF opens in the browser (Chrome or Safari have the same problem).

Hi @brianf89597974

I hope this message finds you well, and thank you for reaching out to us.

Regarding the behavior where the PDF opens directly in the browser when a link is clicked, this is typically the default setting for most web browsers. However, I’d love to understand more about the specific issue you're facing. Could you kindly provide additional details to help us diagnose the problem better?

It would be incredibly helpful if you could share a screen recording showing the steps you’re taking and the issue as it occurs. This will allow us to better grasp what might be happening on your end and suggest the most appropriate solution.

We are here for help, just need more information.
