Can’t read a disc asking for Adobe SVG Viewer

Hello!  So I purchased a service manual for my car and I received a disc. The disc is made for a Windows operating system and Internet Explorer, but says it can also be used with Mac which is what I have. But I have not been able to get the disc to perform. I can run the disc and access the files but not as I should be able to. The manufacturer who sent me the disc is confused or inexperienced as far as what my problem could be so I'm hoping some talent in cyberspace might have ideas or know solutions that will help. I'd like to avoid purchasing Windows to get the disc to perform and the manufacturer says I shouldn't have to. One of the operating requirements for the disc is Adobe SVG Viewer or Adobe Reafer 10.1.16, 11.0.13, Reader DC 15.09.20069 or higher. I purchased Adobe Pro and any Adobe suggested or additional products I found. But I'm not very experienced and am not sure if that's what I need to use the disc. I apologize for my inexperience and I can answer any questions that may help someone with an idea or resolve.
I'm using a 2020 MacBook Pro with Intel Core I9, 64g memory, and 2tb ssd.
Thank you and Happy Easter!
