Cannot Tab through PDF on iPad

I have a PDF with form fields that I am opening to fill out on my iPad. I have a keyboard attached to the iPad that has a tab key. It doesnt seem that the tab key works with the Acrobat PDF -- does not cycle throught fields. Is this a known limitation of the app on iPad?
