Charged for Cancelling?

I had a subscription for Adobe. The reoccurring monthly payments occur the 5th of every month. I cancelled on 25Dec24, and approximately 2hrs after I cancelled the subscription I was charged 21.19 to my credit card (monthly payment amount). So why was I charged?
