Question

Deletion of All Adobe Applications

Really frustrated. I have had Adobe Acrobat on all of my mobile devices for decades. I just deleted them all! I'm not sure what has changed but I can no longer open the app without getting a full page add for purchasing paid services. I suppose that my email address and personal information is no longer enough! Adobe has to have my bank account as well! Sorry, but I'll find another app to open my PDF documents....like M365!

Hello!

Totally understandable, James. It’s frustrating when a trusted tool suddenly feels more like a sales funnel than a service. Adobe’s shift toward pushing subscriptions—especially on mobile—has left many longtime users feeling cornered. You’re not alone in switching to alternatives like Microsoft 365, which handles PDFs well and integrates smoothly across devices. If you ever want help setting up a new workflow or exploring other lightweight PDF apps that respect your time and privacy, I’ve got your back.

Hi there,

Hope you are doing well and I completely understand your situation.

Just to clarify, you can still use the free version of Adobe Acrobat Reader Mobile to open, view, and comment on PDFs without a paid subscription. When the subscription screen appears, look for a small “X” to Continue with free version option (usually at the top corner or bottom of the screen). That will let you continue without purchasing anything.

We have recently updated the mobile experience, so it now highlights premium features more prominently,  but your ability to use the free features remains unchanged.

Hope this information will help
