Hi there
Hope you are doing well and thanks for reaching out and reporting this
On Desktop (Acrobat/Reader):
1. Use the Acrobat print dialog rather than the system dialog. Go to File > Print and make sure "Print using system dialog" (Ctrl+Shift+P) is not selected, Acrobat's own dialog gives you more reliable duplex and flip-edge control.
2. In the print dialog, enable Print on both sides of paper and explicitly set the flip edge to "Long Edge." Full steps here: https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/print-double-sided-acrobat-reader.html
3. If the flip-edge option isn't sticking, try setting duplex directly in your printer's own preferences, click "Printer Properties" or "Printer Setup" within the dialog. This bypasses any app-level translation of the binding setting. https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/using/basic-pdf-printing-tasks-challenger.html
4. If you're on macOS and having trouble controlling single vs. double-sided output, Please check the steps shared here: https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/unable-to-print-double-side-single-side-mac.html
5. For general PDF printing troubleshooting (driver issues, printer connection, etc.), please check the help page https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/troubleshoot-pdf-printing-acrobat-reader.html
On iOS (Acrobat Reader mobile):
1. When printing, use the share icon > Print, select your printer first, then look for the Two-Sided toggle in the iOS print options panel. This toggle must be explicitly enabled each time if the app isn't preserving the setting.
2. Make sure you're on the latest version of the app (App Store > Updates). If the issue started after a recent update, note and share the version number.
3. Try fully closing and restarting the Acrobat Reader app before printing.
If none of the above works:
Please share the details listed below:
- App and OS version
- A small video recording of the steps you are taking and the issue as it occurs for more clarity.
- Printer make and Model
Hope this will help.
