When I try to open a PDF attachment in my email, it says it requires Adobe 8 or higher. I have Adobe on my phone and tried to update it but it does not work. Now when I go back into the email, the error message is there and not the attachment box.

Hope you are doing well.

As you have mentioned that you are unable to open a PDF, it says it requires Acrobat Reader 8 or higher. It shows this issue even when you have the Acrobat Reader installed but because the default PDF viewer is some other application, and it tries to open the PDF in that instead.

 

To view the PDF, you need to download the file first and then go to the location and then try to open it in Acrobat Reader.

 

If this doesn’t work, you need to try opening the PDF on Windows/Mac machine. By doing that we need to check whether there is some issue with the PDF or not. Here is a help document you can refer to understand the workflow.
