Error while trying to send email

I'm trying to send a pdf file through my iCloud account. It says generating link but a window pops up saying "error occurred." There's no code or explanation.

Do you think the problem is in the Acrobat Reader app or can you confirm how and where the file is being sent to?

For example, can you tell if this happen during the creation of the link or soon after is done and ready to send ?
