Files not opening on ipad

I’m using ipad air 5th generation(ipados version 18.7.8 and app version 26.08.00). I’ve been using this app since years and it worked fine but after the recent updates, files don’t open in the app. I’ve tried restarting the ipad multiple times, even uninstalled and reinstalled the app.

I’m attaching a screen recording below. It’s not visible in the recording but I’m constantly tapping on the pdf and it’s not opening. If I close the app and open the file from file manager, it works but it takes 20-30 sec to open the file. And the file I’m trying to open in this recording is only 56 MB. I also tried opening a 250 MB file and it took 3 min to open.

I turned off “Enable generative AI features in Acrobat” and “Convert to Liquid Mode automatically” in settings and it’s still the same. I even tried with both wifi on and off and that didn’t matter either. All the files are stored locally on ipad.
