How can I change the font on printouts that I receive from other people?

When you say "printouts", do you mean a document that has been printed? Or PDF that is electronic?

 

Please be aware that PDFs are not always easy to edit and are not always made by Adobe, since PDF is now owned by an ISO after Adobe created it and gave it away.

 

Some PDFs are images of text; some text is outlined, and some PDFs are locked for editing by their creator. You may or may not have success in changing the typeface of any particular PDF.
