Freehand on mobile

I use simple personal system of freehanding dots, in different colors, throughout documents.

Since maybe three updates ago, if I use freehand to mark dots in .pdf file, upon leaving the freehand tool all dots that I have created become small random pattern of intersecting lines. Size or color doesn't effect this behaviour.

Freehanding is so much more efficient relative to placing different colored periods throughout.

Any solution to this would be much appreciated.
