Question

Highlights not appearing on PDFs

I purchased Adobe Premium so that I could use the OCR tools on my IPad to read, highlight, and take notes on documents. Until yesterday, I was able to "recognize text" on non-readable PDFs and then highlight and annotate the documents. Now, when I try to highlight with my Apple Pencil, it zooms in the words that I am hovering over, but it does not highlight the text. The attached photo shows what happens now when I try to highlight. (Strangely, if I am not in the highlight menu (edit symbol > comment > highlight), I can select words or phrases, and highlight them. But that takes much longer and doesn't allow me to select from different colors.)

Any help on how to get back to what I was able to do before would be greatly appreciated!

Please help Adobe Staff! It's been two weeks and you have given no help, despite several people reporting the same issue. This is the main reason I bought a premium subscription!

Hi @Daniel33423176tlgn @Frustrated Professor,

Hope you are doing well. Sorry for your experience with Acrobat Reader Mobile.

The team is aware of the issue and the bug stands fixed.

The fix will be live in the upcoming update.

I request your kind understanding and assistance.

I'm having the same problem. I opened a PDF I had previously annotated using Acrobat Reader Mobile on my ipad, but now I can't highlight text or edit the previous highlights except to change the color. This is true for any OCR'd PDF I've opened. The only document I've successfully highlighted since the 11/3 update is a Word doc that was exported to PDF. Both iOS and the app are up to date.
