How can Adobe help bank account holder open his/her bank statement which is read only?

I need to open my bank statement but adobe pro refuses with message “Read-only PDF This tool is not available because the document is read-only.”

I tried exporting but results need too much correction. If bank provide statement in read only, and don't provide spreadsheet, how can account holder access text?

I had the same issue and found that if the bank statement is locked for editing or copying, you’ll still be able to view it normally using Adobe Reader without any problems.

I ran into something similar when I tried printing out a read-only PDF from my bank. I couldn’t add anything directly to the file, but I managed to copy the info into a new document for my accountant. Your Company Formations Ltd had me submit bank statements during setup, so I just made sure the info was clear and matched what they needed even if the file itself couldn’t be edited.

Hi @Sunny233119449b32,

Hope you are doing well. Thanks for writing in!

Bank Statements are usually generated using LiveCycle Design, which has a different architecture to that of a normal PDF. Such PDFs, when restricted for editing or data extraction, can be difficult for the mobile version to handle.

In situations like these, we recommend using the desktop version of the application for a better viewing experience.

Hope this clarifies your question.

I need to understand is it because of less security perception of iOS mobile device? IMHO for user who only can afford Microsoft desktop for personal financial usage it is more challenging to achieve security level of a iOS mobile device under strictest security setting. Which is reason why I kept using iOS mobile.....
