How can I recover my password to unlock pdf files?

Please note that Adobe does not store or keep a record of the users passwords , if the password for the document has been forgotten, it cannot be retrieved through Adobe.

Try the following options and see if that helps:

• Recreate the PDF from the original source file (for example, Word, Excel, etc.) and apply a new password if needed.
• Contact the person who created or shared the file with you, as they may have the password or can resend the document without password protection.
