How do I edit a pdf file on my iPad?

i downloaded adobe acrobat reader on my iPad hoping I can edit a pdf file. i received a message “this file is read only” how can I edit this file?

Hi Ranchero,

As you have mentioned above, you get the message "This file is read-only".

It seems that there are some restrictions added to the PDF.

If that is the case, you will not able to make changes on the PDF.

Please check the document properties of that PDF on your desktop application.

Did you check if you get the same error on the other PDFs?

Hey Meenakshi! 

Why in your response to Ranchero do you NOT include instructions on how to edit the document properties!

I think Adboe is not interested in providing quality help/support!

I'm having the exact same issue with no help from Adobe!
