How does Adobe Acrobat for Mobile handle potentially malicious PDFs?

As stated, can someone tell me does Adobe Acrobat for Mobile sandbox PDF files? As you know, some of them can contain viruses or malicious JavaScript code, so how does Adobe handle that kind of security risk? Thank you in advance.

Hi @Marko279029393hbb,

Hope you are doing well. Per the description, I understand that you want to know the way we sandbox PDF files.

Thank you for reaching out to us with your concern. Here is a white paper that discusses Document Cloud services security overview and helps to understand Adobe Secure Product Lifecycle (SPLC)- https://www.adobe.com/content/dam/cc/en/trust-center/ungated/whitepapers/doc-cloud/acrobat-dc-security-overview-ue.pdf

Regarding your query, yes, we do have security checks in place. For example, we run antivirus checks before processing and sending PDF files on DC services. Also, to prevent malicious JavaScript in a PDF, Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability, etc., we disable JavaScript in our mobile applications.

Please let us know if you have any other questions or concerns.
