If you forgot the password then your only option is to recreate the PDF. Read this thread for details.

How can I contact the pdf creator

By @Olorunyomi364533527ql0

The PDF creator is the person who created the PDF and applied the password. If you know who they are, you can call, email, write,  or knock on their door. Passwords are applied for a reason. If the creator cannot be located or does not wish to assist, then you will not be able to unlock the PDF. We do not have access to this information.

Read the Correct response from Souvik just above your post. Passwords are there for a reason. You need to contact the creator if you lost the password.

          Hi @kellen28176380d7av,

Hope you are doing well. Per the description, I understand that you want to turn off or reset the password on your document.

The security feature is provided to keep the encryption of the document intact. Once the password is lost, I am afraid; you might want to contact the creator of the PDF to access the document.

          Hope this clarifies your question.

          -Souvik.
