How to stop auto save?

I am using this app to fill out time sheets for work. I scanned my physical time sheet and named it thus. My problem is when I open the file and edit with today's information it for some reason auto saves the file even after I save a different copy to my device and over writes the original. I do not want to scan this sheet every time nor do I want to have to delete everything from the previous day in order to fill it out for the next. Can anyone please tell me how to stop this app from overwriting the original when I exit?
