How to stop unsolicited Adobe codes via text?
- I have received dozens of unsolicited Adobe codes via text from multiple phone number senders. How to stop this?
Adobe doesn't send unsolicited text messages to its customers
I believe that you're referring to the two-factor authnetication (2FA) security mechanism.
Pretty much the 2FA has become a standard but users have the option to disable it.
2FA is an extra layer of security to protect online accounts with an additional login credential after the user provides its account user name (usually in the form of an valid email address) and a password.
To verify if the person that is logging in to an online service is the real person, a temporary pin number (or similar alphanuneric code) is sent via text to the phone number that the user provided when that account was registered with a service provider.
The users may also change (at any time) how do they want to receive this temporary credential, which is usually an additional option to select an secondary personal email address or via "robocall" (a phone call generated by a computerized autodialing program with a pre-recorded message).
Once you get the temporary pin number it must be entered manually at the signing or logging page before getting full access to the online service.
However, Some government agencies, like the Census Office, electoral campaigns groups, debt collectors, scammers, and whatever 3rd party partners discover who you are (based on the cookies that our web browsers share with the world during our online activities), are actually the ones who send these unsolictted texts (almost on a daily basis).
If you can verify that the issue that you're experiencing is indeed related to 2FA, just follow the guidance provided in the link below to disable it:
