    Hi there,

Hope you are doing well and thanks for reaching out. We are sorry for the trouble you are experiencing.

When you name your chapters with regular numbers like "Chapter 1, Chapter 2 … Chapter 10," Acrobat reads them like words, not numbers. So it puts Chapter 10 right after Chapter 1, then Chapter 11 after that, and your Chapter 2 ends up much later in the list. That's why everything looks jumbled.

try to add a zero in front of the single-digit numbers, so the names look like this:
01_Chapter, 02_Chapter, 03_Chapter … all the way up to 46_Chapter. Those little zeros make Acrobat line everything up in the right order.

Once your files are renamed, I'd suggest doing the merge on a computer instead of your phone or tablet if you can. With 46 files, the mobile app gets fiddly and it's easy to lose your place. On a computer, go to acrobat.adobe.com , sign in with the same Adobe ID, and open the Combine PDF tool. Switch to List view, click the Name column at the top to sort everything, and then hit Combine. It should all fall into place in one go. For more information, please go through the help page https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/web/edit-pdfs/organize-documents/organize-pages.html

If you'd rather stay on mobile, you can still do it,  just know that after you pick your files, you'll need to drag each one up or down by hand to get the order right before tapping Combine. It works, it just takes some patience.

One last thing worth a quick check: open a couple of chapters before merging, just to make sure each file actually has the chapter you expect inside it.

Let us know how it goes.
