I signed up to the Acrobat Pro Android app trial and now can't unsubscribe.

Hi,

I signed up to the Acrobat Pro Android app trial on my Pixel phone using the email address of ny Adobe account. I've been trying to unsubscribe ever since. The subscription doesn't show up in my Adobe account or the Android subscriptions list in the Play Store on my phone. Thus there is nowhere to unsubscribe...

Every time I contact Adobe support I get a chat bot that takes me around in circles. Once I got through to an Adobe customer support agent who said to talk to Google. Google said they can't do anything and to contact Adobe.

Does anyone know how to get rid of the Acrobat Pro Android app in this situation?

Thanks,

David

Mine is the same as my desktop also. The android app says Acrobat Pro is active via the same email that I use for my regular adobe stuff on my PC (which is not my Google email).

Just checking... Acrobat Pro for android is not included in the Creative Cloud All Apps subscription right? I don't seem to be being charged for Acrobat Pro on Android even though the trial has expired.

Hi @15952129 JPN,

Thanks for writing in!

The Acrobat Reader Mobile plan is included with the Creative Cloud Subscription.

That is the same reason why you are not being charged for it.

Hope this clarifies your question.

Regards,
Souvik.

@David K JPN don't cancel what @Amal. suggested... that would mean you are cancelling the Adobe version (account)—instead, you want to cancel your Google -Adobe account!

It isn't likely Adobe who is charging you because this was posted in the Reader Mobile, it almost always means the transaction was handled by the platform's native store, not Adobe directly. You are essentially making an "In-App Purchase." The payment method on file is charged by Google, who then remit a portion of the payment to Adobe.

Because the payment was processed through by Google, (depending on what device you used), those companies hold the billing relationship with you as a customer. Adobe, in this context, does not have the ability to access the accounts, billings, or even initiate or process a refund back to the user's credit card or account balance.

For example, on my Google Pixel 8:

Open the Google Play Store app on your Google Pixel 8. Tap your profile icon in the top-right corner of the screen. Tap "Payments & subscriptions" from the menu that appears. Tap "Subscriptions" to view a list of all your active subscriptions. Select the Adobe Acrobat subscription from the list. Tap "Cancel subscription". Follow the on-screen instructions and select a reason for cancellation to complete the process.

On my Pixel, I even went to Acrobat Reader Mobile:

Tap the profile icon (top-right corner). Tap "Subscriptions". Tap "Manage subscriptions", which will open the Google Play Store subscription page. Follow the on-screen prompts in the Play Store to cancel the subscription.

Hi Creative Explorer, thanks for the info. I've tried what you suggest. My "Manage Subscriptions" only has my YouTube Premium subscription listed. There's nothing else there. I think something strange has happened because I signed up to the trial with my Adobe account email, not the email I use for my Google account. Google told me there's nothing for them to cancel on their side...

@David K JPN soYouTube Premium subscription listed? Not sure about that one, that would be a Google thing.
Trial version - Adobe account email, not the email I use for my Google account?

I would check you Google App store. I am using my Pixel 8...so it may be different from your version of a phone:
Google PLay Store - Click on the avatar top-right corner - Manage Apps & Device - Manage - Scroll to Acrobat

On my, it says Uninstall or Open
It opens, and I am using the same log-in as the one I am using on my desktop.

What does your show vs your desktop

Hi there

Hope you are doing well and thanks for reaching out.

I have checked your Adobe account linked with the Adobe ID you are using on this community and found an active plan for Creative Cloud All apps. If you are willing to cancel this plan, please check the steps shared in the help page https://adobe.ly/4sv0T5d

Let us know if you are referring to something else.

Hi Amal, this has nothing to do with my Creative Cloud All Apps plan. I'm keeping that. I am trying to cancel the Pro version of the Acrobat Android app. Thanks.
