Intune MAM confirmation

Hi,

I'm trying to setup the integration between Adobe Reader on an iOS device and OneDrive. We are using Conditional Access policies within AzureAD and require approved apps to be signed in.

I have followed the guide here around configuring an app policy Mobile Acrobat and AppConfig — Acrobat Desktop Mobile App Deployment (adobe.com) and beleive that at the very minimum I would need to configure the option "allowSecureWebViewSignIn" so it uses Safari to sign in. I have configured this and enabled and disabled the MAM option within Adobe on the iOS device but it is still refusing to sign in (being blocked by the CA policy). Is there any way within the Adobe app to confirm which policies are applying to the app when MAM is enabled to confirm this option is applied correctly ?

Correct answer Amal.

Hi there

Hope you are doing well and thanks for reaching out.

Currently, the Adobe Reader mobile app does not offer a built-in UI to display which App Protection (MAM) or AppConfig policies are actively being applied on the device. However, here are a few tips that might help you confirm the behavior:

1. After pushing changes, ensure the app is fully force-closed and reopened to allow settings to refresh. In some cases, a device reboot may also help.

2. Please double-check that the Adobe Reader version on the iOS device is up-to-date, as support for certain MAM settings can depend on having the latest app release.

3. Try toggling MAM on and off—when MAM is disabled and the setting is applied via AppConfig only, does the issue persist? This could help isolate whether MAM is interfering or whether the config setting is not getting passed through properly.

If you're still facing issues after verifying these, we recommend working with your MDM provider to confirm that the configuration profile is correctly formatted and targeted.

Hope this information will help.
