iOS iPad 14 problem

Leaving the app with a doc open:

when returning the screen is frozen. My use is with a pattern where I draw or line through instructions. When I return imayor may not lose the notes I've placed on the doc before it freezes. This problem did not exist prior to upgrading to iOS 14.
