iPadOS 13.4 (iPad Air 2) - unable to delete files

i am using iPad Air 2 iPadOS 13.7. i have 5 files that defy being deleted. this seems to be recent problem in that i've never had it in the preceding 5 months.

    i don't know how to edit this post so i will do so as a 'reply': i have just learned that the acrobat reader 'search' does not even ind these files .. see the attached screenshot.
