iPhone and iPad Document Cloud Offline Differences

hello,

i have the latest ad acrobat reader for the iod and iPhone. I'm using an iPhone 6s and an iPad 2. I have some documents in the document cloud and they sync just fine. But I'm noticing that if my iPad is in airplane mode, I can still read the documenta that are in the cloud. But if my phone is in airplane mode, I can't read the cloud docs, as it says to check my internet connection.

I loThacker hat my iPad can still read the files offline, but why can't the iPhone version do this?
