Hope you are doing well, and thanks for reaching out. We are sorry to hear the app is refusing to open your camera for scanning, but the good news is this is usually fixable in just a few steps.

Check camera permissions
This is the most common culprit. Go to your phone's Settings > Apps > Adobe Scan > Permissions, and make sure Camera access is toggled on. If it's set to "Deny" or "Ask every time," switch it to Allow.

Force stop and relaunch the app
Still in Settings > Apps > Adobe Scan, tap Force Stop, then reopen the app and try scanning again.

Clear the app cache
Go to Settings > Apps > Adobe Scan > Storage, then tap Clear Cache and reboot the application.

Check for app updates
Open the Play Store (Android) or App Store (iOS), search for Adobe Scan, and install any pending updates and see if that works.
