latest ipad reader update won’t stay open, closes as soon as app is attempting to open

I just updated by acrobat reader app and now it won't open. The red screen comes up after opening the app but then quickly disappears. If I double click the home button,  it's open in the background but if I tap on it to open it, the same thing happens. help!  thank you!

just deleted and reloaded the app and it now works but all my files are GONE

    Sorry to hear about the trouble caused, and thanks for sharing the troubleshooting steps performed. 

    While uninstalling and reinstalling the app, we always suggest to keep the backup of your pdf files because removing the app also removes the files as well.
