For a couple of months now I have not been able to find Liquid mode on my Android phone has it been discontinued? It does not appear to be a paid feature either?

I really miss it.

Under Languages and input it is set to English (Denmark) and English (United States).

Hi Tommy,

As we do not have the Liquid mode feature for English (Denmark). Kinldy remove it from the Languages and input list and set it to English(United States) and check. The Liquid mode icon should be visible.

Thanks,

Harsh

If the PDF that you show in the screenshot, if it is a PDF composed of scans, the Scans are not a feature available in liquid mode.

Hi @Tommy Holm5CFD

Hope you are doing well.

As you have mentioned that liquid mode is not visible on your Android device. We would like to tell you that it is still a feature of Reader mobile but if that is not showing on your end, please check the system requirements below:

1. Android phones 5.0 and later. Android devices with less than 1GB of RAM or x86 processors are not yet supported.

2. Chromebook

3. Languages: Liquid Mode is currently available for English (en), Spanish (es), French (fr), German (de), Dutch (nl), Danish (da), Finnish (fi), Italian (it), Norwegian (nb), Portuguese (pt), and Swedish (sv)

Also here is a help document on Liquid mode which you can refer to:

https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobat/android/en/lmode.html#liquid-mode

Let us know if you need any more information.

Thanks,

Harsh

My phone (Pixel 3) fulfills all requirements my documents are primarily in Danish. I thought maybe Dark Mode was the culprit but after disabling on my OS and App and reinstalling Adobe Acrobat version 21.8.019312 I still see no Liquid mode.

Hi Tommy,

kindly check few things related to the PDF. As most files are compatible, but the following limitations may apply:

1. More than 200 pages

2. More than 10 MB in size

3. Scanned

4. Converted from presentations (Microsoft PowerPoint, Apple Keynote, etc.)

5. Encrypted or password protected

6. Complex layouts (eg. tickets, statements, invoices, receipts etc.). Please view the following PDFs in their original layout for the best experience:

  • Documents containing mostly tables and charts (e.g. spreadsheets)
  • Documents containing mostly images (e.g. illustrations, CAD drawings)
  • Forms
  • Non-standard page sizes such as posters and business cards

If possible, please share the PDF that you are trying to view, so we can check.

Thanks,

Harsh
