  • How do I make a pdf fillable and signable and be able for someone to fill it out
Correct answer Amal.

Hi there,

Hope youa re doing well and thanks for reaching out.

You can make a PDF fillable and signable using Adobe Acrobat desktop app as follows:

  • Open your PDF in Adobe Acrobat desktop app (not Reader).
  • Go to the “Tools” menu and choose “Prepare Form.”
  • Select the PDF file you want to use. Acrobat will automatically detect and add form fields, or you can manually add text fields, checkboxes, drop-downs, etc.
  • Once done, save the file.-
  • Now your PDF is fillable.

To make it signable:

  • Add a Signature field from the toolbar in the “Prepare Form” mode.
  • Save the form and share it with others.

They can then fill in the fields and sign using Acrobat or Acrobat Reader.

If you want to send it for e-signatures, you can also use Adobe Acrobat Sign directly from Acrobat under the “Request Signatures” option.
