    Adobe Acrobat uses certificate-based digital signatures to ensure document authenticity, integrity, and non-repudiation, verifying the signer's identity and confirming the file hasn't been altered. These signatures require a digital ID, are hard to forge, and can be validated directly in Acrobat/Reader, showing a valid status if secure.
