Newest update to Acrobat is slow to load PDF

Since the update this week (adobe 19.11.00 (20191114.173841) running on my iPhone pro max software 13.2.3,

when I open a set of pdf plans Adobe is incredibly slow to try and open the set. Even on a set that's 2-3 pages it will sometime just freeze up. 
before the latest update I've had no problems at all opening the exact same plans quickly and zoom them.

now it's so slow and unresponsive i just end up closing the app.

ive deleted the app, downloaded it and signed in and it's the same issue. 
I've restarted the phone, same issue. It's the same even on WiFi vs cellular.
